What fun! I’m at the National Conference for Christian Women in Media in Dallas, Texas.

Tomorrow, I’ll teach the media seminar: LAUNCH! Move Your TV/FILM Idea from Concept to Production with my friend, actress/author Lar Park Lincoln. Should be loads of fun.

We are teaching professionals who have brilliant ideas for TV, film and online content the next steps in taking their concept from dream to reality. This is the same process we are doing with Confessions of a Hollywood Christian and taking it from book form television series.

More Than TV/FILM

The process is not only applicable with TV & Film, but with your ideas across the board. For example, (TOP SECRET!), I’ll share with you one of my three main points.

To move your idea from concept to production, you must start at the end and work backwards. You must have a clearly defined goal and KNOW what your vision is for that final product. Now, there may be minor changes along the way, but it is imperative to know where you’re headed before you start the journey. And that takes planning and work.

In Luke 14:28-30, Jesus tells His disciples to start with the end in mind when following Him and count the costs before beginning: “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and calculate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’

Whatever Your Idea

Whatever is on your heart to LAUNCH this year, get that puppy out. Do the work upfront to figure out where you’re going. Draw your map, then have fun connecting the dots.
