I recently sang a duet with God.

In a valley moment, I started praying and a new song soared from my soul towards heaven.
Then, I got a response. Drama!

Above is a brief excerpt from my sermon, “Don’t Give Up!” at Hope in the Hills. I pray it’ll encourage you today that God knows exactly what we’re going through, and we don’t have to give up.

Be reminded of Zephaniah 3:17, which describes a time of restoration for God’s people when God sings over them: “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Have you heard God’s song?
When He sings, it’s worth listening… cause
What He sings can literally change our lives,

  1. Wow, im so selfish. im tired and want to throw in the towel as if it is all about me man. But sometimes it does get REALLy hard and im like for real im not done yet

    1. I feel you, Allison. We can all think it’s about us at times. Then, we’re reminded it really isn’t. lol! I’m so glad you’re not done yet. Got lots more on the horizon! Go forth!

    Grateful for your sharing – will be forwarding this on as a reminder, not only to myself, but to a few others on my heart that regardless of circumstance – we don’t get to give up. Not with the gift of His Son, the Holy Spirit He has infused us with, and His unending love and faithfulness.

    1. Whew, Praise! is right, Laurine! Thanks Lady for your encouraging words and for passing it along. I’m just grateful the Lord uses these experiences to reveal Himself to all of us. I really thought long and hard about posting this clip, and really was against it; but finally thought “If He encouraged me through His song, and He did, He can certainly encourage others.” So, mad appreciation.

    I love your duet. This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been feeling distant from Him lately. And your honesty is such a reminder that we need to remember HIM. He remembers every single one of us. So true.
