Roller Coaster Transitions

Hi Fam,
Are you experiencing a transition?
Today, I’d like to share a small portion of a VIDEO I preached at H0PE IN THE HILLS of a message called “Embracing Transition”. I briefly tell the story of my real adventure at Six Flags Magic Mountain here in the LaLa with my family.
The way that I handled this “X2” 4th dimension roller coaster is the way I handle most transitions in life – DRAMA!
How about you? How do you handle life’s transitions?

When it’s all said and done, let’s embrace our transitions. They’re going to come, whether we want them to or not. We should lean into the curve because our God promises to never leave or forsake us, which is translated as “I will never drop you or abandon you”, Joshua 1:5-6. Isn’t that wonderful?
Can you relate?

Naima, keep on doing this:-) This is great and inspiring.
Love your speech. And the audience liked it to, heard some familiar laughs:-)
God blessed you with the talent of speech. May the lord use you more in this way.
Thanks Hanno. Always good to hear from you.
We did have a good time reliving that coaster. I had to laugh too at one point. So glad you enjoyed it.
I’ll post more clips like these as I can. We’re there every Sunday. :=)
Have a great week, Friend!
Love your video and your humility to exposing your approach to transition. We all handle transition differently. In reality our whole life is about transition. We are being transformed into the image of Christ, but He never said it would be easy. He just said He would never leave us or forsake us. Praise God. Keep the videos coming. My husband and I enjoyed watching. Blessings!
Well said, Beverly!
Thanks a million :=)
I love the videos! 😀
Thanks, Laurine. Appreciate it, Lady.
Do you like coasters? Have you been to Magic Mountain yet? Do tell!
So funny!! It is uplifting, a blessing any way you deliver it: words or video. The video is a nice change.
Thanks so much, Patrice. Hey, where were you? How come I don’t recall you being on the loopy-loop-free-for-all with us?
Way too early in my life, mid to late 20, the loop-de-loops started making me sick. I then started restricting my roller coasters to mainly the kiddy versions. Unfortunately, no one in my home is kiddy and would probably only ride the easy roller coasters just to be with me.
Powerful word. Life’s transition are like a roller coaster ride. Some have more bumps in addition to the peaks and valley lows. This I know. No shame in yelling out ” I trust you God.” Amen! Good message. Love you all!
Thanks so much, Sis. Kathy!
I like that, “no shame”.
Always wonderful to hear from you, Lady.
Lots of love to you as well! :=)
Hilarious event. But certainly true to life. I, on the other hand, just realized that I don’t like transitions either. Does anyone? But I generally will take them on for they usually mean a better end to my present. But what happens when everyone else says that you are about to have one or are in a transition and nothing around you supports your friends’ observations. Am i blind, deaf and stupid ?
Hi Lady,
No, you’re not. LOL!
Our friends’ observations serve as confirmations. When we go through transitions, we’re usually the first to know; especially when they’re as bumpy as roller coasters. Ain’t no way that we’re able to come through some of those curves without knowing we’re in them. If you don’t currently feel like you’re transitioning, hold tight. They’ll be one sooner or later. There always is… mainly because we’re always maturing in our faith, and growth requires stretching and movement. Enjoy your down time before the stretch heats up. Lots of love your way.
