DAILY DOSE OF HOPE – BLOG – NAIMA LETT
NOW WHAT?

I Followed Up with You yesterday.
Now what?
Prayed over dreams. Check.
Dreams resuscitated. Check.
What’s next?
It’s not enough to simply dream. We must act upon what we’ve seen.
Joseph spent 13 years mini-ruling at Potiphar’s crib and in prison before he was entrusted to rule Egypt as Pharaoh’s second-in-command. Those 13 years deepened his relationship with the Lord, built his character and gave him plenty of practice doing what he saw himself doing in his dream before the dream was fully actualized.
Phase I
In Genesis 39:2-6, a teenage Joseph oversees and rules over all that Potiphar owns:
The Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian (Potiphar). Now his master saw that the Lord was with Joseph and how the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight and became his personal servant; and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he owned he put in his charge. It came about that from the time he made Joseph overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; thus the Lord’s blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field. So he left everything he owned in Joseph’s charge; and with him there he did not concern himself with anything except the food which he ate.
That was Phase I.
What’s your Phase I? How far along are you? Just starting? Completing?
Phase II
Phase II saw Joseph doing the same thing (ruling), but in a different venue: prison.
Genesis 39:19-23: So Joseph’s master took him and put him into the jail, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined…But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer. The chief jailer committed to Joseph’s charge all the prisoners who were in the jail; so that whatever was done there, he was responsible for it. The chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph’s charge because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made to prosper.
Most times, we hate small beginnings. We want to jump right into the big God-given dream that we’ve seen in our hearts before we’ve been tried and tested. But that testing period is essential in getting us ready.
Do me and you a favor today:
Take inventory.
I suspect we’re probably a lot further along than we give yourselves credit for. :=)
Go head. Make a list. Be encouraged.
What have you already been doing towards the dream?
What are the Potiphar’s houses and prisons where God has made you successful?
Where have you been faithfully serving and prospering someone else’s gems?
Where have you proven yourself, that you are skilled, capable and ready?
When your dream comes true, nobody should be surprised at what it was because you would’ve already spent years and years doing it.
Before anyone in Hollywood becomes an A-List star, they’ve usually spent at least 10 years working and building a career. I recently met an A-Lister’s manager who marveled that his client was finally receiving an Academy Award nomination and being recognized with a “Star to Watch” Award when she had literally been working for a decade. He laughed.
I thought, “That’s just about right.”
You’ve been working away at something for years. Let’s not despise the amount of time it takes. Let’s celebrate the victories along the way.
Can we do that today?
What have you been doing?

I was sitting here facing things i need to address. The dream far away and realizing that it does take a lot to get even to the starting line. I get this email as if to say okay i’m still here with gifts and dreams God wants me to achieve. Sometimes the hardest part is to do something.
Hi Allison,
You’re right. Sometimes, the hardest part is doing something. But that’s also the most fulfilling part. I celebrate that you still know that you’ve got gifts and dreams God wants you to achieve. And I bet you’ve been chipping away at them over the years. Be encouraged, Lady. Take a leap. Write ’em out. Then, just decide to do the FIRST step. Don’t worry about all 10 in the beginning. That can be overwhelming. Focus on Step 1. Once the first step is done, then think about Step 2. You’re so creative. I can’t wait to see what you have percolating over there. :=)
The other tthing i do hate small things im like all my training. Waiting thinking He will graduate me to the next level because its been so long and He wont its like wax on wax off and im like can we get to the match already i mean you STILL want me to sand the floor im like 80years old i guess when God wants something done it doesnt matter how long He has to wait you have to start at the beginning.
