Last week, we had fun with:
A Small Car On Your Head, a short video clip [1:58]
in which I jokingly propose that Mary wasn’t a sister. LOL!

If You Believe…

That excerpt was taken from the entire message entitled “If You Believe…” [above].

I shared “If You Believe…” at New Antioch of Randallstown last year about the story of Lazarus, Mary and Martha in John 11. There is so much about folks believing in this passage. By the time Jesus goes to raise Lazarus from the dead, he asks Martha, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40. It’s a fascinating story, and we had a great time with hundreds at the conference.

What Folks Are Saying

Some of the comments people shared after the message that day were:

“I don’t have the whole car, but I’m sure I have a transmission.”
“I never laughed so hard going through God’s word. Thank you. I needed that.”
“You made the word so real and so clear, like I could understand it. I got it.”
“God really spoke to me today. I let some things go.”

Be Encouraged

I pray that this will encourage you as well in this New Year. And please feel free to share it with others. If we believe, we will see the glory of God.

Onward & Upward,
Naima

  1. Your message was so real, so human, and so on target for what we experience.

Twenty years ago, my bride and I were deeply involved with a ministry to homestay high school children from Taiwan. We were happy, camping in the mountains, showing the girls the fish that were being caught, many giggles and so much love was there. I got a phone call from my company; it was a huge shock. despite assurances from my management that all was well, I had lost the best job I ever had in my life. I told Su and quickly left for home. I needed to do something. Alone in that dark house, scared out of my wits, I cried, I yelled, I screamed for help to my Lord, I ranted, I raved, I begged for help in this horrible turn of events. Finally exhausted, I pulled myself together and returned to the mountains to bring my family home, and to face the practical; reality of no job, no prospects, and a family I loved, who needed me to support them. Somehow, my inner self held together and I began the process of disconnection, using what help my position warranted, and began the process of seeking employment. despite sage advice from the placement company, I ignored them and secured a good job within two weeks of my severance. I worked there until I retired. There is no way I can not believe. Other events had occurred in my life where my Lord saved me from certain disaster. Thank you so much. ric
