Naima Films Lifetime's "Living Proof"
Mark Calendar: Oct 18th

Living Proof on Internet Movie Database

Naima Imani Lett is Nurse Carol in Lifetime's original movie "Living Proof" starring Harry Connick Jr as Dr. Dennis Slamon, a doctor who devotes his life to finding a treatment for breast cancer.

About filming, Naima says, "It was such a privilege to work on this kind of movie that inspires and gives hope while celebrating those who have committed their lives to finding cures for cancer as well as those who are fighting to survive every day. Because of all that we've personally been through with cancer, the story really hit home. I was so grateful to be a small part of this amazing cast and story. It's uplifting."

Lett's Rise! Summer Recap
 Busy, Busy...
2008_Summer_Recap

It's been a few months since our last newsletter. Our apologies. Not that there wasn't any news. Just the opposite. There was a'plenty. So much so that we were busy "doing" and hardly had a spare second to update you. But no worries: here's a recap of what went on:

Wire in the Blood: Prayer of the Bone in which Naima guest starred as Anita Addison opposite Robson Green has just been released on DVD. You can rent or buy it at Blockbuster, Netflix or the local store. (Rating: Mature Aud) Pictures, Synopsis, or to hear Naima's interview with UK DJG, go to NaimaLett.com: 'WIRE IN THE BLOOD' INFO ; or watch VIDEO CLIP

Naima also recently filmed "Who Do You Love" aka "Chess" which premieres at the TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL on Sept 11-13th. "Who Do You Love" is a feature film about legendary record producer Leonard Chess, Chess Records and the popularization of Blues music during the 1950-60s; Naima is the receptionist at Chess Records who befriends Muddy Waters played by British phenom David Oyelowo.

Lett's Rise! and Naima were honored to share and teach at the 10th Anniversary of Greater Allen Cathedral's Worship Conference in New York (Rev. Floyd Flake. Sr Pastor;  Min. Kathleen Turner, Conference Founder). The week's celebration included ministries from all over the world gathering under the theme "God: The Theme of Our Praise".
